Wow, what a place to bring your family. The price for the movies and food is second to none. I was not aware of any drive ins in the Chicagoland area until a coworker suggested 49'er to me. I have a small son and because we were in the car we didn't have to worry about him getting too restless and making too much noise. Everyone there was so kind, welcoming and friendly. They only accept cash at the gate when you enter, so don't forget to have cash when you visit. If you forget they do have an ATM, but save your money by stopping by your bank. Great overall experience. This place exceeded my expectations.
Great place to go for a date! Two movies for $10 isn't too bad. The movies we saw weren't exactly Oscar-worthy, but I had never been to a drive-in before, so I enjoyed it! Slept through a bit of both films, but the snack stand had some damn good food. Little pricey, but I reccomend the barbecue pork sandwich. DO NOT get the single slice pizza. It looks and tastes like high school cafeteria food. DO NOT EXPECT a good parking spot unless you arrive early. It gets packed. The intermissions are fairly short, too, so it's a good idea to buy your food before the movie starts.
Going here is a unique experience that you cannot get anywhere else. You can have fun playing in the large field in front of the screen before the movies and all the employees are very friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is that the speakers that they used to have for people to put in their cars are no longer existent. If they fixed this, the theater will be top notch!
Love this place! Ticket prices are great and the price for food there is not outrageous like at the movie theater! Always good service and a great way to spend an evening. Dog friendly too! I only wish they kept their concession stand open a little later, they close it right after the 2nd movie starts.
I love the drive in! It brings back sooo many childhood memories. You have to get there on the early side to get a good or even decent parking spot. Don't forget to bring your own snacks, drinks and bug spray! This is also an animal friendly place to go, but I don't think my dog would want to stay for both movies. The price is pretty decent for 2 movies. $10 per adult and $5 for kids 12 and under. Can't beat it! The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the parking situation. Like I said, you have to get there early... at least an hour to an hour an a half BEFORE the movies are scheduled to start. So bring something to keep yourself n your kids busy while you're waiting.
